Dedicated and hard working owners of Four Winds, Christopher and Ruth Rose, have enjoyed careers that have helped to create a B&B that’s successful, well managed and offers something more than just a convenient place to stay.
Ruth’s skills in providing exceptional customer service has been gained through many years working as an air hostess and she also worked as a chef at a local country pub.
Chris combines guest house duties with his role as Executive Chef at top local restaurants Banana Wharf and Ennios, situated in nearby Hamble and Southampton’s Waterfront. Chris has also spent many years as a chef on the luxury liner Canberra as well as a number of top restaurants in the South and London – he even catered for the Queen Mother!

Check in is by appointment at a mutually convenient time, this will be arranged with you when you make your booking. For efficiency, please try to keep to agreed timings whenever possible. Thank you.
Monday to Friday – before 9am
Saturday and Sunday – before 10am
Monday to Friday – 7am to 7.45am
Saturday and Sunday – 8.30am to 9.15am
Available daily – breakfast of orange juice, cereals, toast, tea and coffee is included in your room rate.
Our weekend rate also includes a full English Breakfast with fried egg, bacon, sausage, grilled fresh tomato and mushrooms.
A full English breakfast is also available at £5.00 per person from Monday to Friday.
